Treasuring Memories

This week the Color Combo Galore presents a monochromatic palette so this was a real challenge for me, if you followed my blog you know that I love colors, yes, bright colors but I tried it and I had a lot of fun!! In addition to the color combo is the designer's challenge as inspired by the photo. You should use wood, a tittle in capital letters, a striped element, a transparency and create the effect of a ledge.  And this was my inspiration..... I made this page about my hubby, I think this color combo is perfect for masculine pages.   I used wood in Kaiser Craft's Wooden Flourishes that I painted with gray and black colors.   I made ,or tried to make, the ledge with the  corrugated band that is my striped element, the transparency is for Maya Road and my tittle with caps...all done!! Hi my blogger friends!!!  How are you doing?  This is my second post today, you can see the first one at the end of this post.  I'm off  from "Blog land" these days. I couldn't visit some of my friend's blogs.  The hurricane Irene swept our island last Sunday and I was without power service until yesterday.  A lot of people continue without basic services here, the worst part of the hurricane was the rains and the floods, many people lost everything but we're fine. I made the DT in The Paper Trail and our first challenge consist in made a Birthday card without "Birthday papers".  I like to have cards that I already finished for when I need them, so this challenge is great for me.  Karen the owner of The Paper Trail an online store sent me the Basic Grey - Out of Print line and I used these papers for my card.   I made the flower with the same pattern papers.  You can find these materials at The Paper Trail Store . Hi!!! My blogger friends...I've been missing in on the action I know it  but life goes a little complicated sometimes.  I  still have problems with my stomach...hmmm!  and this situation drains my energy I feel very tired but the good news is I finished all the wedding dresses, yesss!!!so I'm going to be more crafty for the next weeks .
