A Tag with Destination Unknown....

Hello!!!  Today I share with you a tag tutorial using the new beautiful collection "Destination Unknown" by 7Dots Studios .  I made this tag with fabulous textures and dimension using the 6" x 6" designer pad, the chipboard, the stencil, tags and stickers. This collection has beautiful colors and embellishments. I stamped the anchor and stars with the fantastic stamp from the same collection. These beautiful chipboards are from Um-Wow-Studios designed for this collection. Here's the tutorial...enjoy it!! I worked with the  Destination Unknown -pad 6 x 6  and I chose the " Celestial " paper.  Then I scored one and half inch border on either side of my paper using my paper trimmer and the scoring tool. I folded each border of my paper.  Next, I tore the two sides of the paper as  illustrated in photo. With Molding paste and the new  Line Element Mask  I gave textures to both borders.  Then I cut a ...

A Fall page...7Dots Studio

Hello everyone!!  Today I share with you this fall page that I made with the Dreamer collection by 7Dots Studios . Here in North Carolina everything is turning into the beautiful fall colors.  The trees are in different shades of orange, burgundy and yellow colors...it really looks amazing! And my page is inspired in the pretty colors of Autumn. I use the Daydreaming and Sleepless papers from the Dreamer collection in my page. I played with paints, gelatos, color blooms and some mediums in my page. I used like my title a tag from the Illumination collection (tags 12 x 12). I also layered my photo with some tags from Illumination collection. I added this pretty lace from Tresor de Luxe. I used a Memory Box stencil with Molding Paste(Art Basics by Prima) and a border punch from Martha Steward. I added these pretty flowers and wood frames by Prima Marketing.  The pin is from Michaels. Finally, the sun came here and I took thi...

So hard...to see you go

Hi!! Today I want to share you my second project for 2Crafty Chipboard .  I come with a boy page about my son.  He spent the summer with us here in NC but he returned to study in PR, but it's always hard to see him go. I took these pictures on the day he left... I mixed in this page the clock, frames and film stripes chipboard. I started off by applying modeling paste wit a sponge to all the frames then I applied coat of gesso, next I painted with distress ink(blue and beige) colors. I used a twill ribbon and washi tapes to create textures in my background work.  Then I applied molding paste with a mask, next I used gelatos, Ranger-distress stain, acrylic paint, distress inks, watercolor pencils.   All the little film strips were just the perfect thing to use with all the pics. The skeleton clock frame tucked in at the side.  Flowers are from Prima. 2Crafty Chipboard..... HERE Until next time!! Hugs! Marilyn

Captured Moments...SATW Mid month reveal

Hello!! How is your summer so far? I've been disconnected  lately, I had my brother and sister in law with their families here and I took a vacation with all the family, we had  a wonderful time together. Here's my take of the July moodboard at  Scrap Around The World . This month the fabulous moodboard was designed by the lovely  Tusia Lech  from Poland and I was inspired by the dandelion photo to create my page.  This page is  a lovely memory of my kids, I found my boy(almost 5 years old) that climbed in the crib with his sister(she was one year old) and he told me that she wanted to play...I took this photo of the moment, how times flies... the photo of the dandelion symbolizes for me. July moodboard Tusia Lech My paper is from Basic Grey that I combined with the Tim Holtz' tissue wrap-Terminology. I used a DCWV stencil with homemade molding paste and for more texture I added mesh tape, strips of tissue paper, pearls,...
