Altered Box- Creative Embellishments

Hello!! I have been working on altered projects lately and I share one with you today.  I made this altered box using the fantastic Creative Embellishments products.

I took a round wooden box that I bought at my local craft store and covered it with The Peony Avenue paper by Studio 75.  I  cut and adhered the Bubble Panel to the lid of the box and the Flourish.

Once the Bubble Panel was adhered to the top of the box, I glued the flowers and pearls then  I gave a coat of white gesso to the chipboard and flowers.

I painted the chipboard with Color Blooms, metallic acrylic paint  in coral, pink, and gold colors.  I embossed one of the Butterflies in gold and pink embossing powders.  Then I added more textures with art stones , pearls and glass beads.

I stamped the bottom of the box with the Distressed Crackle Stamp and a permanent ink.

Other supplies I used:
Prima Marketing:
Color Bloom Peony
Metallic Watercolors
Mica Powder- Gold
Art Basics- White Gesso, Gel Medium
Art Ingredients: art stones, copper micro beads
pearls

Blue Fern Studios: 24K embossing powder

Fall Canvas- Creative Embellishments

Hi! I made a fall canvas to share with you today using the pretty chipboard and products by Creative Embellishments. I love the beautiful colors that nature brings us during this season and I mixed orange, brown and cranberry colors in the canvas, let’s take a look…

First, I gave textures to the canvas with the Crackled Brick Stencil and modeling paste.   I created a design using  the Autumn Leaves that I adhered with gel medium. I added pieces of lace between the chipboard.

I gave more textures adhering art stones and glass beads with gel medium. Once I had all the pieces  glued down, I gave a coat of white gesso over all the canvas.

I painted the chippies and canvas with mist in orange, cranberry and brown colors.

I painted the title “Autumn Word set” with a brown mist then I applied a brown marker to the borders.

Holiday Mixed Media techniques featuring Carousel Christmas

Hello!!  I share with you today a holiday mixed media layout with the gorgeous Carousel Christmas collection and products by BoBunny and Pentart.

I started giving textures to my base paper (Joy) with the Winter Fun Stickable Stencil and the Sugar Glitter Paste. It created bright snowflakes on the background, then I added white paint splatters. The Joy paper has a few spots of yellow paint, so I created more yellow spots on the background with a mix of Pentart Acrylic Gold paint and Gesso Primer Paste.

I used the Happy Holidays as my title and to enhance it,  I cut the pink banner from the Floral paper and adhered it behind the quote with foam tape. I draped the Joy paper and place under the believe paper.

To make the project more interesting I tied a white cord to the jingle bells. I made some dots with the Pearlecents to create more textures on the background.

I applied with a paintbrush the Gold Confetti Paste on the background and added pieces of cheesecloth between the embellishments.

I cut out different images from the Wonder paper that I gave distress ink and added 3D foam tape to create dimension with them.  I placed the photo and then I added the different images to create the design on my layout.

Finally I added some buttons from the Ephemera package and some pearls.

I hope you find some inspiration,  Thanks for stopping by...until next time!!

Celebrating Card with 3D Stars and Glitter

Hello everyone! I hope you are good! Thank you so much for all your best wishes and comments here, YouTube and social media. I'm feeling better but I have not returned to normal yet. The pneumonia left me weak and I'm tired almost all the time but I force myself to do things so I want to share with you this card that I made with the fabulous 3L Scrapbook Adhesives products.  I used the Foam Stars to bring dimension and textures to the background of my card.

Creating the background of my Celebration Card

Start with a 5 1/2 x 5″ white cardstock as the card panel, paint with distress oxide ink . Then adhere the 3D Foam Stars on the background.

Next, let’s create a design on the card panel. I used different types and sizes of the 3D Foam Stars. Make sure to keep the top liner on for now.

Now for the fun part: Wear Your Adhesives on the Outside! Carefully peel off the top liner from the 3D Foam Stars and sprinkle white glitter over all the stars. Press glitter lightly into foam stars and then tap off excess.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment in black on the card panel.  The pretty little girl is from La-La Land Crafts, I first stamped with white cardstock. Then colored the image with a combination of Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. After , cut out the image with my scissors, I placed 3D Foam Squares White Mix on the back and adhered it to my card front.

From this angle of the image, you can see all the dimension the 3D Foam adhesives add to the card. The stars look fantastic! Next, adhere the card panel to the black card base with Dual Tip Glue Pen.

It’s easy and fun to create this fantastic background, especially with the 3D Foam Stars! I love how it turned out and hope you find some inspiration from this card.

Other products I used:
Stamp- La-La Land Crafts- Paper Doll Marci Birthday
Dye Ink- Memento- Tuxedo Black
Copics- Prismacolor
Distress Oxides ink- Worn Lipstick
Blue Fern Studio- ebony emboss powder, glitter
Neenah- Solar white 80lb cardstock

Thanks for stopping by ..until next time!!!

Beautiful Day ....Creative Embellishments

Hello! I have to share a mixed media layout today using the fabulous chipboard by Creative Embellishments. This time I get out of my comfort zone playing with a dark background and gold tones but I had a lot of fun and I love the final result!
This photo is a lovely memory from my workshops in Peru last September, These lovely ladies attended my classes and we had a great time it was a Beautiful day,
I started applying black gesso over a black cardstock, then I gave textures with a stencil and modeling paste.
I painted the background with mica powders. My inspiration to create this page was the title chipboard Beautiful Day that I embossed with a gold color.
I used the Circles chipboard to create the design on the background. First I embossed it on gold color to create the sparkling effect. Then I cut the circle panel in four pieces and placed them behind and around the photo.

The title looks really nice with the sparkling effect. I used the 14 karat- embossing powder by Blue Fern Studios.

Some of the details, textures and layers...

You can see from this angle the dimension and layers....

November challenge - Creative Embellishment

It's November and it's time for a new challenge at Creative Embellishments blog. This month the beautiful image has the fall colors and the twist is to use a flourish, here's my take...

I was inspired by the fall colors in the beautiful image. I created this tag using similar colors and with a Thankful sentiment that goes perfect for the season.  I used  Creative Embellishments product like the Flourish Corner 2 that I painted with distress oxides.  I stamped randomly with the Distressed Text Stamp.    I gave textures on the background with the Fairy Dust Stencil and Copper glitter paste.

As usual please be inspired by at least one of the elements from the picture  and the twist is to use a flourish on our project.
