Prima Guest Designer!!!

Hello!!!    I'm so happy and excited ...I have the honor to be the Guest Designer this month for Prima and I have been working with some of their new lines and I'm sharing with you today the projects I did....

This page is about my work "a wedding gown" that I made for this client, she sent me some photos of her wedding and her happiness inspired me to make this layout.  I worked with the "Divine Collection" and incorporated some sewing stuff here like buttons, measuring tape, lace..

I Love this "Shabby Chic"frame

2-Like Mother...like daughter

I made this page about my daughter Paola and me in her birthday. A sweet memory of her 12 years old party.   I used the Lyric and Divine collection on this page.

I combined the metal trinkets with the wood buttons.

3- Proud Mom

My son Xander and me in his graduation.  I used the April sketch(BAP) for this page and I worked with the Songbird collection.

I love to work the paper like fabric so I draped it and this is the effect...

4- Mami- (mommy)

This is my lovely mom, she's very sweet but strong at the same time and for that reason I combined metal  Vintage Trinkets with flowers and pearls like she is....

Fairy Rhymes Collection

5- to be a mother...

be a mother...  I have no words to describe the immense unconditional love that I feel as a mother and I tried to describe this sentiment on my page with  lots of layers, butterflies, pearls, lace and flowers.  Divine collection.

Lots of layers...

Vintage Topiary Tutorial- My Creative Scrapbook- April Mix Media Kit

Hello!! I hope all of you are fine. Spring is in the air and it was my inspiration for this Vintage Topiary that I did with the April Mix Media Kit by My Creative Scrapbook.  When I saw the Prima Vintage Trinkets that comes in this fabulous kit, I thought in a topiary.

Here's how I did it...

I selected the..on Holiday paper by the Girls'paperie, JenniBowlin embellishments(butterflies and bows),Prima Vintage Trinkets, Bo Bunny stamps all are in the April Mix Media Kit.  I added a styrofoam ball, a pot and one buck pearl collar.

I started to pin some of the Vintage Trinkets to my styrofoam ball. I used pearl pins

I pinned the trinkets randomly ...

I took the Holiday paper and I punched it with my two inches circle scallop punch and some in 1 1/2 " circle scallop punch

I made roses with my circles but you can do your favorite flowers for this project.

Then, distress ink in all the flowers.

Start gluing the flowers

I bought a pearl collar for one dollar and I broke it to use the pearls.

Glue the flowers around the trinkets.

Start gluing the pearls.

Cover all the space, It should look like this...

I used a pot for my base.

I painted the pot with acrylic paint.

Then I stamped the pot with the Bo Bunny stamp that comes in the MM kit.

It should look like this...

Some corrugated strips

Glue this strips to the pot...

To fix my Topiary I used some styrofoam inside the pot.

I did a cord bow but you can use a ribbon.

I covered my foam with a paper doily.

Then I added some piece of papers and all the rest of the pearls.

Now is time for add the butterflies and bows.

Then I added some piece of papers and all the rest of the pearls

My tip for the butterflies is to add a drop of hot glue to a pin like the photo, then add the butterflies to the topiary.

Here is the final result and this is my spring vintage topiary home decorating....
