A Special Day..Blue Fern Studios

Hello!! Today I share with you my second project for Blue Fern Studios using the beautiful new collection Frolic and I chose the "Mercantile" paper.  I also worked with the pretty chipboards like the "Roman clock" set  and my title "Special" word that I embossed in gold color. This page is a lovely memory of my daughter's 10th birthday party years ago. After I embossed the title I applied gesso with a sponge. I placed the Roman clock chippies around my photo and between my flower cluster. I painted with gelatos the "Blooming Foliage",  then I covered the leaves with gel medium and green micro beads. Supplies: Frolic Collection: Mercantile paper Blue Fern chipboard: Blooming Foliage, Roman Clock Set, "Special" word Prima Marketing: Flowers, art basics: gessso, molding paste, matte gel, Color bloom, Faber Castle: gelatos Thanks for stopping by....Until next time!! Hugs! Marilyn

My first DT project and Video Tutorial for Blue Fern Studios

Hello my scrapper friends!! I hope all you are good and enjoying the summer!!   I'm so excited to share with you my first DT project and video tutorial for Blue Fern Studios .  This page is about a lovely memory, I found this old photo (25 years old) when hubby and I were newlyweds.  I worked with the gorgeous new collection "Frolic" from BFS. I made the background design with the Ring Panel chipboard and you'll see all the creative process in the video tutorial at the end of this post. My title is the "Memories" word chipboard that I painted with gelatos, Color Blooms... I painted with watercolor pencils the "Butterflies Friends" chippie. I added glass beads and micro beads in the ring of the chipboard to create dimension. I stamped with the "Halftone Stamp" and cut out these butterflies from the Dans Le Jardin paper. Supplies: Frolic collection -  Dans Le Jardin, Mercantile, Amoroso Blue Fern chipboards -  Ring ...

So hard...to see you go

Hi!! Today I want to share you my second project for 2Crafty Chipboard .  I come with a boy page about my son.  He spent the summer with us here in NC but he returned to study in PR, but it's always hard to see him go. I took these pictures on the day he left... I mixed in this page the clock, frames and film stripes chipboard. I started off by applying modeling paste wit a sponge to all the frames then I applied coat of gesso, next I painted with distress ink(blue and beige) colors. I used a twill ribbon and washi tapes to create textures in my background work.  Then I applied molding paste with a mask, next I used gelatos, Ranger-distress stain, acrylic paint, distress inks, watercolor pencils.   All the little film strips were just the perfect thing to use with all the pics. The skeleton clock frame tucked in at the side.  Flowers are from Prima. 2Crafty Chipboard..... HERE Until next time!! Hugs! Marilyn
