Never Stop Exploring Mixed Media Layout- 49 and Market

Hello my friends! It have been a long time without make any blog post here, the last one was in October 2018, wow,can you imagine.  But I'm not going to talk about all the things that happened to me right now. These are incredible days with lot of challenges to all of us. I think we are lucky to have this hobby that help us to relax, to stay a little calm, well depends each circumstance but in my case it helps me so much. I hope all of you are well, safe and can stay home.
Now I"m going to share you a beach theme layout that I've been made for 49 and Market with the video tutorial.
Let's get started....

Vamos a comenzar....
I started applying a coat of clear gesso to the Underwater Treasure paper from the Shipwreck collection. This one has soft colors that go perfectly with the lovely photo by Emily Goodhart. I applied gel medium to the laser cut frames and starfish to make them more sturdy. I gave textures with a stencil and modeling paste to the paper. Once dry, I started to add acrylic paints to the background in very similar colors to the photo in light blue and ivory. While the paints were drying, I framed the photo.

I adhered a piece of cream Lacey Trim and on top, a piece of white cheesecloth, next I glued the frames and photo.
I took a piece of Jute Cording- 5 Ply and made three knots and adhered it to the bottom part of the frame, it gives a nautical look to the page. I started to embellish the page with the flowers: Enchanted Petals- Parchments and the Flower Mini-Series- Tangerines. I also added the Never Stop Exploring chipboards, layered embellishments, and laser cuts. I stamped randomly on the background with the Pascale’s Ration Stamp Set and Archival Ink.

Finally, I added some mini art stones and regular art stones with gel medium. I adhered some blue bubbles from the Layered Embellishments. I also glued some pearls and added some white paint splatters around all the work.

I made a step by step video tutorial that I hope you enjoy…
