Magical Mixed Media Layout & Video Tutorial

Hello! Who doesn't love purple....hmmm I do lately, lol!! I made another  purple layout  with the February Limited Edition kit by My Creative Scrapbook. If you follow my work you know that I love to create with the paper, specially gave textures with  and in this video tutorial I show you how I created the design and textures with the same paper. Let's take a look at the page...
I love this paper by 49 & Market that comes in the kit this month and I worked with all the vertical lines on the paper to create this design.

The beautiful pick is from Unsplash. I mat the photo with a craft cardstock and used a die to make the white doily behind the photo.

I painted a piece of fabric to intertwine with the paper and create this rich and soft textures.

I cut the fairy from one of the G45 papers and took one sticker to make the title "Magical Things"

Other products I used;
Ranger
Distress Oxides Inks- wilted violet, frayed burlad
Prima Marketing
art basics- Clear Gesso, Modeling Paste
Art ingredients- art stones, pearls
Color Bloom- Iris
Punch
Marta Steward-  EK Sucess
Sharpie- White Oil marker
Acrylic Paints

Here's the video tutorial, I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for stopping by...until next time!!

  1. Ahhh, another wonderful video Marilyn! I love watching you build up the colours and transform the page,(will certainly be combining wilted lilac & frayed burlap). Have made note of your steps, and if you don't mind, can't wait to put them into practice. Your distressed paper slits always look spectacular. xx
