Hello blogger friends!!! First of all Thank you so much for all the sweet comments and best wishes for me in my last post. They made me very happy..you are Awesome!!! For every negative experience we learn or laugh about something... I happened to have to go to the doctor(orthopedic) and I couldn't move my arm and had to comb my hair, my girl was at school, well I sat in my bed and my hubby comb my curly hair or at least tried...he made me a pony tail that was he told me and when I saw me at the mirror, OMG!!! that was a sun-like pony tail...I looked like a sun with explotions with the hair standing and I started to laugh and laugh that I forgot my pain. He fixed it, yes he went to my closet and brought my black suede hat and put it on me. I had to go with the hat to the doctor's office either it was that or I had to go with my sun-like pony tail. After all I think the people in the office when they saw me with the hat and the orthopedic cast they understood what happens.
But everytime I remember I still laugh.

Well now to show you the page I did for Bird is the Word challenge and the new word is "JOURNEY" You can use this word in the tittle or your journal page. I made my page about one of our trips as a couple, we had great memories.

You are my Sunshine- Glitz Blog Challenge

Hi!! I hope everything is okay over there! It's been two weeks that I haven't touch a scrapbook paper, after I had a fall cleaning the entrance of my house. I had to go to the hospital then to the orthopedic but thank God I didn't have fractures even though I couldn't move my arm for more than a week and the pain was horrible! But I'm feeling better now.
Glitz Design is having a blog challenge and I didn't want to lose the opportunity to join since I'm a Glitz fan. And below you will see the inspirational photo...

This is my Beautiful niece Fabiola, that everytime she sees her auntie with her camera, she gives a little pose...she's a gorgeous model !

I also used the Whatnot from "Beautiful Dreamer" line for my tittle and cut one of the cards and I used the little kids carrusel like embellishment and the rest of the card I used as a photo mat.

Hi!! This is my first design team work for SKETCHABILITIES. I made this page about three special girls for me...my sister Karen and my two nieces Sabrina and Fabiola. I used my MCS November limited edition kit that have these gorgeous Glitz papers.

been in the Design Team for a full year.

Hi my blogger friends! I'm trying to get normal again, yesterday school started for my kids so I have time to play again. I made this page for Once Upon a Sketch. The Journaling criteria is New Year's Eve...more details go (HERE). In December 2005, we went for a Christmas vacation to Orlando, Florida and we celebrated the New Year's Eve in Epcot Center, the fireworks were Amazing!! and we had a lot of fun...an unforgetable vacation. I used Nadia' sketch and combined this challenge with the Color Room palette

Hi! I'm the Guest Designer this month at My Creative Scrapbook, I worked with the Album kit that is Gorgeous...look at this photo...Yes, the kit comes full of beauties, I love it!!! There are also 3 more kits, you can see them ...HERE

I made my first page about my niece Fabiola, I took this photo on her first birthday party. The kit includes the Random Collection by Crate Paper and the lovely flower vine by Petaloo.

My second page is a lovely memory when my daughter Paola was a little baby. She was in her stroller walking around the house. Time flies!!!!!

Bird is the word"Promise" and Scrapfit Workout # 60

Happy New Year! I already made my resolution list for this new year, did you??... I made this page as Design Team works for Bird is the Word and Scrapfit.
I combined both challenges. In "Bird is the Word" the new word is "Promise", this challenge is super easy you just need to make a page or card with the Promise word in the title or in the journal.
And the workout in Scrapfit is inspired by the 80'music...Pat Benatar' song "Love is a Battlefiled". This workout was a little hard in the begining for me but I decided to make a page about my 80" wedding...the music reminded me those days when I was preparing everything about it and of course, I love 80' music.

ONCE UPON A SKETCH and COLOR ROOM #88

This time OUAS journaling criteria is: The thing I look most forward to in December. Honestly, I have many things that I love from December. It is my favorite season ... I like to be with all my family but the most enjoyable thing for me is Christmas day...I love to see the kids waiting for Santa and when they see the gifts under the tree, their faces, their dreams and innocence are priceless!!!! I took many photos of my niece from last year. She sent a letter to Santa asking for a special barbie and the wonderful Santa brought it and when she saw it ...OMG!!!! she makes me smile!!! and this is my inspiration...

Bird is the word.."Trust", OUAS and The Color Room#86

Hi my blogger friends! I hope all of you are doing well. The last two weeks were very hard for me I got my two babies very sick with Dengue(it 's a virus transmitted by the mosquitoes) and Alexander got worse than Paola, he was dehydrated by much fever... so no school for two weeks, no work for me, everything a little complicated here. But now they're fine and started school today and I'm trying to get back to normal again. So I put my skates...trying to catch up!

I made this page for Bird is the Word challenge and the new word is....."Trust" . I used an old photo of Paola when she was taking ballet classes. I remembered that she always asked me if she was dancing well and this word is perfect to this memory.
I used My Creative Scrapbook August main kit for this page.

Once Upon a Sketch and The Color Room

I combined the Once Upon a Sketch challenge with The Color Room #86 palette and Nadia's sketch and this was my inspiration......

In OUAS this time the journaling criteria focuses in "YOU" as a woman or any female in your life. I love to be a woman... love to wear and make dresses, use lipstick, being feminine but for me the most treasure that I have like woman is being a Mother, there's no words to describe how deep the love a mother feels for her kids...! It's priceless!!!
But at the same time we need to be wonder woman many time if not all the time, trying to make everything perfect, therefore I love this quote that I read...

Modern women are just bombarded. There's nothing but media telling us we're all supposed to be great cooks, have great style, be great in bed, be the best mothers, speak seven languages, and be able to understand derivatives. And we don't really have women we're modeling after, so we're all looking for how to do this.

Scrapfit Workout #56 & The Color Room #84

Hi my sweet friends!! First at all, Thank you so much for all the lovely comments you left me in my last post. And this is the second page that I made last Sunday. This one is for the workout #56- Technically Inclined at Scrapfit. We all love our technical gadgets like Computer, iPods, iPads, Wii, DS, Smart Phone, Digital SLR Camera and some many more! What technical gadget do you hold dear to your heart? I can't live without my camera, I used to take photos of every moment..lol!!!
I combined my workout with TCR Palette #84, I love these colors looks like home to me, these are the decor colors that I have right now at home. You could see it in the photo, behind me...the curtain and the walls are the same lovely colors.

Once Upon a Sketch..and Good News!!!

Hi! Today I have a little time to make two pages and I'm going to show you the one that I made for Once Upon a Sketch. The Journalling criteria is when you started scrapping and why?... and you must combine it with the sketch. Well if you see my page I turned the sketch a little to the left and the reason why I started scrapping is a little sad for me but I would like to share with all of you.

I also used Petaloo flowers, Glitz- Whatnot scarlett, Bazzill Chips-key, Kaisercraft- Wooden Flourishes.

I have some embarrassing moments but this one...Won!! because my hubby told everybody!!
Two years ago, we had a cruise trip and I was going to buy some Holland cheese, bags and liquors that you can find a better price in these islands but I didn't want to carry the bags all day. Many stores have a service that they send the bags directly to the ship, you only need to fill a document with some information and...voila!!!
I was in that store and found a fabulous bag, some liquors bottles and cheeses and I went to ask the store employee if they have the service to the ship...lol!!
I really don't know what was on my mind yet...
I was thinking in "Spanglish" and instead of saying
that, I asked......
Do you ship to the BARC????
I never forgot the expressions of the people around me, specially my husband who opened his eyes and started laughing. And of course, as soon as I said "Barc" I realized my mistake and I tried to fix it.
In Spanish the word "ship" means "barco" and I eliminated the last letter "o" and tried to make it sound like an English word....that was the funniest thing, lol!!!... new word...Barc...

SCRAFIT WORKOUT AND PAPER TRAIL CHALLENGE

Hi!! I hope everybody is fine!! I'm going to show you two pages and the first one is "A Special day" I made it for Paper Trail cardboard challenge and for Scrapfit workout #54-It's all Adds Up.
For the Scrapfit workout you need to create a layout with lot and lot of number. I used the new Graphic 45 line "ABC Prime" these papers and tags have many numbers and clocks that I loved to use on my page. This ABC Prime line is Beautiful and you can find it at The Paper Trail Store.
For the Paper Trail Cardboard challenge you need to use cardboard in your page. I really love cardboard so this challenge was a piece of cake for me! I used the cardboard like my photo mats and a small pieces like embellishments.

Hi!!! How are you? I've been lost in action for the past weeks because of health problems but thank God I'm back again!! I have two great news that I would like to share with all of you...First, I'm Guest Designer at My Creative Scrapbook this month, so happy that Pam gave me this Great opportunity I was working with the album kit that is so Gorgeous!!! I made 4 pages with this kit but I will show you two of my pages today and in my next post I'll show you the others two layouts. And the second Great news is that I made the Design Team at Bird is the word...Yess!! so happy that Wendy chose me to join this talented design team. I made my first page as part of the DT for "Together" is the word and I'm going to show you next.

I made the "Naughty" and "You are so beautiful to me" pages with the album kit that is really awesome you can see it....HERE
This kit comes with 3 bugs in a Rug papers, Rub- on,
Maya Road chipboard, Fancy Pants and Prima flowers and a lot of more stuff like lace, charms, ribbons, etc...
Some years ago when my kids were little, we made a trip to Disney and I would like to work with these photos that aren't the best in quality but it has a sentimental value for me because it's like living again those lovely memories. In this photo my kids are with their cousins and when these four are together...Hmmm they are very naughty!!!

COLOR COMBO GALORE 209

Hi!!! I hope everybody is fine. My kids are sick and now I'm too! Grrr...very difficult for me to make a page when I don't feel well, it takes me a long time to be inspired with something. This week's Color Combo Galore has this lovely striking color palette and this inspirational photo that was my inspiration. I was focused in those shelves and I used the lid of a white jewelry box like my frame and tie with the twine.
This is my page........

I have this photo from a vacation we did a few years ago and Paola is wearing this shirt that the colors fits perfect with this color palette and at the same time she has this orange tan, lol! she has a very white skin and every time she took a little of sun she looks like a shrimp or a red apple. If you follow my blog you know that I love w/b photos but this one goes perfect with the colors.

This is my frame that really is a lid of a jewelry box.

I used two Martha Stewart's paper punches for my circles edges. The pattern papers are from Basic Grey, Karen Foster, and Webster Pages.

These beautiful butterflies are from Kay's shop.

Hello!!! I hope everyone is fine! I'm so happy because I'm going to take two weeks off from work, yesss! I really need it! This is a long holiday weekend here, we're celebrating Labor Day this next Monday. For that reason, I will show you three pages in this post, I'm going on a trip with my family around the island. This month's theme in Color Combo Galore is all about books and reading. This week's Designer challenge: Focus on Type-Dictionary or Text type prints and an unusual but lovely color combo, I really love these challenges!!!!
And this was my inspiration.....

I made this page about my son Alexander when he had 3 1/2 years old. One day I came to the room and I found him with his daddy glasses and acting like his dad. I got my camera and took this photo.
I used Basic Grey papers, Dusty Attic chipboard, CTMH chipboard and papers and American Craft & Bazzil cardstocks.

I rolled the stripes of printed text pattern papers, then I distressed them with Vintage Photo. I painted the wooden sticks. I tie the rolled stripes with the wooden sticks and made this big mat.

SCRAPFIT WORKOUT#51

It's time to show some Salt & Pepper on your layout or card! This means that black and white are your main colors but you can use only one more color. I'm making a b/w and coral colors wedding album for my sister- in- law and brother, so this goes perfect for it! I used the sketch from My Creative Sketches Blog. I used some tulle, prima flowers, charms, CTMH chipboard, American craft alphas and some stuff from my kit from My Creative Scrapbook.

THE (PAPER) TRAIL MAKERS

Karen the owner of Paper Trail store asked us, the Design Team, to make a page or card with a bit of vintage thrown in! The vintage can be in the papers, in the colors, ephemera, in the photos, etc... I made this page when my little sister was celebrating her 4th birthday. My mom had this picture and i'd like to work with it. I'm the middle one at right side, my sister is the little one at front of mine and we are in the photo with our neighbor Martita. Lovely memory!!!

I used for this page the lovely line "It's the little things" from Fancy Pants. Do you love Dusty Attic?...well you can find it at the store!! COLOR COMBO GALORE 206

This week the Color Combo Galore presents a monochromatic palette so this was a real challenge for me, if you followed my blog you know that I love colors, yes, bright colors but I tried it and I had a lot of fun!!
In addition to the color combo is the designer's challenge as inspired by the photo. You should use wood, a tittle in capital letters, a striped element, a transparency and create the effect of a ledge. And this was my inspiration.....

I made this page about my hubby, I think this color combo is perfect for masculine pages. I used wood in Kaiser Craft's Wooden Flourishes that I painted with gray and black colors. I made ,or tried to make, the ledge with the corrugated band that is my striped element, the transparency is for Maya Road and my tittle with caps...all done!!

COLOR COMBO GALORE(204-205)

Hi my blogger friends!!! How are you doing? This is my second post today, you can see the first one at the end of this post. I'm off from "Blog land" these days. I couldn't visit some of my friend's blogs. The hurricane Irene swept our island last Sunday and I was without power service until yesterday. A lot of people continue without basic services here, the worst part of the hurricane was the rains and the floods, many people lost everything but we're fine.
I'm going to show you two of my last works for The Color Combo Galore. This first one is for the CCG-205, I really love this color combo and the Designer challenge, when I saw the inspirational photo I remembered that I got this photo from July,25 ...and this was my inspiration.....

Hola mis amigas blogeras!! Como han estado? Yo estoy bien desconectada de "Blod land" estos días. No he podido visitar los blogs de mis amigas. El huracán Irene visito nuestra isla el pasado domingo y estuve sin servicio de electricidad hasta el otro día. Todavía hay mucha gente aquí sin los servicios básicos, la peor parte del huracán fueron las lluvias e inundaciones muchas personas perdieron sus pertenencias pero estamos bien GAD.
Les voy a ensenar dos de mis últimos trabajos para Color Combo Galore.
Esta primera pagina es para CCG205, realmente me encanto estos colores y el reto del diseñador, cuando vi la foto de inspiración me recordé de esta foto que tomaron el pasado 25 de Julio...y así me inspire.....

For the Designer challenge you should use a mesh or woven material so I made my mesh with cardstock and patttern paper. I added the teal color with paint and with the rub-ons. I painted the dressform that is from Maya road and my sweet friend Mary gave it to me.

My cousin took me this picture in our Family Day last July 25. The flowers are from Prima.

This is my page for CCG 204 and I love the inspirational photos bring me peace, calm and makes me feel relax. I looked these photos from my anniversary trip that are perfect for this challenge. For the Designer challenge you should made a grid design, well I made it with my photos.

I love the deck in the inspirational photo so I used a corrugated for my background that I painted in brown color.

I got the corals, shells, sea glass and rocks from the beach. The starfish are from BoBunny papers. I liked to give the look of sea grass so I cut some cardstock strips. Rub-ons and the tittle are from K & Company.

The Paper Trail- DT

I made the DT in The Paper Trail and our first challenge consist in made a Birthday card without "Birthday papers". I like to have cards that I already finished for when I need them, so this challenge is great for me. Karen the owner of The Paper Trail an online store sent me the Basic Grey - Out of Print line and I used these papers for my card. I made the flower with the same pattern papers. You can find these materials at The Paper Trail Store.

Hi!!! My blogger friends...I've been missing in on the action I know it but life goes a little complicated sometimes. I still have problems with my stomach...hmmm! and this situation drains my energy I feel very tired but the good news is I finished all the wedding dresses, yesss!!!so I'm going to be more crafty for the next weeks .

I love this color combo!! and I made this page about my niece Sabrina and her talking style, she talks like an older person very mature for her age I love to see her when she's talking because she even talks with her arms.

Sigo enferma del estomago hmmmm! y esta situacion me tiene sin energias y cansada todo el tiempo pero lo bueno es que ya termine todos los trajes de boda que tenia y ahora puedo escrapear mas en las proximas semanas.

Me encanta esta paleta de colores #202 y hice esta pagina sobre mi sobrina Sabrina y su estilo al hablar, ella habla como una persona adulta es madura para su edad y me encanta mirarla mientras esta hablando si la vieran ella habla hasta con sus manos.

We had a great time making what we most love "scrapbooking" all day!! And for this workout you need to put a banner on your page. I made this gift box for a special girl. I cut rectangular papers pieces and then sew it around each one. All the embellishments are handmade and the flowers, too!

I used a Magnolia stamp for the image, it's my first time painting Magnolia'stamps and I painted with distressing inks.

This is my page for this Color Combo 200, I found this photo when Paola(my daughter) was in third grade, it's a memory of her school's field day and she was celebrating that her group was the number one, so I thought that the picture is perfect for this color combo because we're celebrating, too!..Yes!, the Color Combo Galore 200th Anniversary!!!!

I made a Festive and Happy page and here it is......!!

I used in my page Gesso, Paint, Rub-on and Stamp. I made the curled up paper to give a festive look!

Tutorial Curled up Paper.

This is the way I make my curled up paper....

I used 1/4" strips of paper, heat gun, spray bottle, paint brush or a wooden stick

Curled up the strip of paper around the paint brush.

Hold it firmly.

Spray it with water.

Dry it with the heat gun and if you like thinner curled up paper keep it rolled up tight while you're drying it.

If you like loose curled up paper rolled up and keep the end of the paper loose while you're drying.

The result...firm curled up paper!

and you need to put a clock on this LO to represent "TIME". I made this page about my trip to Grenada, in this picture I'm in the Holland ' side of the island. I used Echo Park Papers "For The Record".

And my inspiration for this challenge was a pictures that I found when my beautiful mom was in her twenties....

Hola!!! Mis amigas blogeras espero se encuentren bien, las he extrañado mucho. Este mes que paso ha sido un poco dificil para mi y no tenia tiempo para nada....nada!!!! Mucho, mucho trabajo!! Hice trajes con cola, con drapeados, con bordados y nada de scrapbooking pero ya estoy de regreso. Tambien les quiero compartir fotos del Scrapper's Place Event que fue todo un exito y se vendio todo 6 semanas antes y se quedo gente en lista de espera...wow!!! Hello!! My bloggers friends I hope you're fine, I've missed you a lot. This month that has passed has been a bit difficult for me and had no time for anything...anything!!! A lot, a lot of work!! I made dresses with tails, with draping, with embroidery and nothing of scrapbooking but I'm back again. I would like to show you photos of the Scrapper's Place Event that was a total success, all sold out 6 weeks before and people stayed on waiting list...wow!!

En Mayo 14 fue el Segundo Aniversario de Scrapper's Place y pasamos un dia fabuloso en Aguadilla. Gracias a todas las chicas que asistieron por apoyar la actividad que se vendio 6 semanas antes de la fecha. Mi experiencia como maestra fue maravillosa e inolvidable como el Picasso que vi...lol!!!!

The Paper Variety Challenge and The Color Combo Galore#189

Hi my blogger friends!! I would like to show you these two pages that I made, The first one is for The Paper Variety Challenge. This week is a Polka Dot Challenge, it was very easy for me because I Love Polka Dots. In my page I used a polka dot Prima Paper to make the frame and gave it little accents to my page. I took this lovely picture of my daughter Paola that was my inspiration to create this page. I used My April Limited Edition from My Creative Scrapbook, so Beautiful this kit.

Prima Pattern Papers- Madeline Collection

I cut my butterflies from a Prima Paper.

This is my second page that I made for the Color Combo Galore #189 and for Frosted Design- Sketch Challenge #13, I combined both challenges. I love this Graphic 45 line...Once Upon a Springtime Collection are the perfect paper for this color challenge. I had these lovely photos of my niece Camila, she was looking for Easter eggs. I sprayed SHIMMER on the flowers and some areas but the effect is not seen in the photos.

The Art of Making Dresses

Hi!! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Day with your family!! Here's my take of the sketch 251 in Scrapbookchallenges, I was inspired by my lovely friend's page ... Jolanda you can see her page and the other design team pages ....HERE. For this page I used pattern papers from Stamping'Up that my sweet friend Renee gave me. I draw a dress form in a cardstock then I painted and stamped it. And in the pictures, some dresses that I made for some of my clients, different styles and colors for each taste.

I used different pattern paper from Stamping'Up and cut them like the pattern papers and the buttons packs and used it like embellishments, these papers are very pretty....Thanks Renee...I Love it!!!!!!

Different clients, different personalities...different styles!!

I sew some buttons to the pattern paper for a real buttons package's look.

I love this other page that I made for Scrapbookchallenges Sketch 250 last week and I didn't post, a lot of complications here!! I tried to incorporate flowers to my boy page but looking a balance and I love the final result!!
For this page I used My Creative Scrapbook Limited Edition Kit that is full of Prima's products and I loved it.....Beautiful kit!!

I painted and stamped the background. I LOVE , LOVE the new Prima
Flocked Rub-Ons!!!

Scrafit Workout - 1974

HI!! This week Scrapfit has a Great Workout that consist in making a page with an old photo, Pull out the box under your bed and find a picture of you as a kid (any age)! I found this photo when I had 6 years old, it's on my First Grade graduation in 1974. I have lovely memories of that day and I'd like to preserve that moment in this page. I used the new BoBunny line Gabrielle for this page because I like to have a vintage look!

Hi! my blogger friends!! I'm back again!! I finished all the dresses for the wedding...Yesss!!!! Now, I will visit my friends' blogs because I didn't have time in the last weeks. Well I made this page for Scrapbookchallenges sketch 248 by Jowilna, I used Lily Bee Papers and this lovely picture of my kids...well it sounds better if I say...a lovely memory when I had two LITTLE kids because they're bigger than me now, lol!! although they always be my little kids!! Hello! I hope you are well. Very busy these days for me working hard in wedding dresses for next week. This is my page for the challenge of Scrapfit that consists in making your own flowers! Yes, as you hear it, really easy! Make a page with flowers made by you! For my page I worked these beautiful flowers and if you like to check out the tutorial that I prepared go HERE .....
